Before launching Anderson Law in 2018, Mark worked at a large statewide firm in Fort Myers for over 15 years. He handled complex matters in State and Federal Courts throughout Florida. During these years, he represented individuals as well as businesses, big and small, always striving to reach practical solutions to their legal issues. He frequently appeared in court to advocate on his clients' behalf.
Prior to joining that firm in 2003, Mark completed a two-year federal trial court clerkship in the Middle District of Florida. He also served as an intern for a Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice during his final year of law school.
He has garnered an AV® Preeminent distinction, the highest available mark for professional excellence from Martindale-Hubbell’s Peer Review Ratings. In 2022, Naples Illustrated selected Mark as one of the top construction law attorneys in Southwest Florida. He has also been recognized by Best Lawyers as a top construction lawyer in South Florida in 2023. In 2024, Best Lawyers once again recognized Mark as a top attorney for commercial litigation, real estate, as well as construction law.
Mark graduated from Widener University Law School in 2000, where he served as Executive Managing Editor of the Law Review. Prior to that, he graduated with a political science degree from Messiah College in 1994.
Mark was born in Bordeaux, France where he attended French public schools through 8th grade. He has complete fluency in French and regularly assists French-speaking clients as part of his legal practice. Mark attended high school in Germany where he graduated from Black Forest Academy, a boarding school for international students.
Mark has been married for 29 years and has four children. He is active in his community as a track and soccer coach and serves as a leader in his church. A former college track athlete, Mark has run dozens of triathlons and several 50-mile ultra marathons. He is an avid outdoor adventurer. He has camped numerous times in Grand Tetons National Park, backpacked portions of the Appalachian Trail, and has kayak-camped in the Everglades.
